Why havent i seen you is better than why have you come again- fulani proverb

Nigerians are mostly economic travelers or travelers for educational purpose (Especially the United Kingdom and USA) where we spend money and still are second class citizens, we don't really travel for fun except where we can get something in return.

Wouldn't it be nice to travel somewhere where you can actually be welcomed and get peace of mind in return, after all we have the Dangotes', TY danjums', and Atikus' who do travel for peace of mind and medical tourism.

Technically the following states are supposed to be free travel without Visa. These countries have both cultural and geopolitical ties and shared common economic interest with each other, they are beautiful and need your travel expense money. There is also the growing use of the ECOWAS travel documents, which can also be considered a success. These travel documents are issued by the 15 member States’ immigration and consular government departments. Despite the legal framework that was put in place over thirty years ago, ECOWAS citizens are facing some limitations to their rights as enshrined in the free movement Protocol.--http://www.ecowas.int/life-in-the-community/education-and-youth/

Countries notorious for Visa Denial and Rejection

    • The United States of America
    • Canada
    • China
    • European Union countries
    • United Kingdom
    • Japan
    • All the countries outsourcing their visa to VFSglobal (The black water of visa applications but who cares).

But in their defense its cheaper for the countries and expensive for the applicant and cost less foreign manpower. There is always a reason for rejection :

    • False information and Documentation
    • insufficient funds (Its an expensive country after all).
    • Terrible Interviewee.(Your story was not believed )
    • Travel history (common there is a first time for everything)
    • No home ties : If you are not home tied with things like family, kids, business, land properties and any others which should be bringing you home often, you may be denied a visa. It is important that you show the embassies something that will convince them that you can always come home.
    • Violation of previous visas
    • Inconsistent travel transcripts

Despite all this don't refuse to travel to any of these countries with a legitimate reason and proper documentation, travel is a learning experience unfortunately we suffer by association so be careful and know that the embassies are looking for a reason to reject you not a reason to let you in.

Also those advertisements on CNN and the BBC are not meant for you. They can tell you they cant let you in their country but you are free to go else where, its still a learning experience a fun visit and local business opportunities can be open to you.

    Bon Voyage
